PLUSH Replay Junior – Tube Delay Pedal
by GGE on Sep.27, 2009, under Uncategorized
Andy Fuchs from Fuchs Audio Technology recently released his new “tube” guitar pedal as part of his “Plush” line of supreme guitar pedals. I knew he was working on a delay pedal and it’s nice to see it released. I particularly like the Fidelity, Wow and Flutter controls on this pedal. That to me is what makes echo pedals sound more natural. Personally, I don’t like the delay to echo off at the same fidelity. I like to roll off the high end on the echo so that it is in more of the back and sounds much more “Echoplex-ish”. Very nice. I can’t wait to try one. Andy said a few more delay pedals are also in the works. Check out this You Tube video for a cool demonstration.

Nik Huber Guitars
Check out this very cool and very new Nik Huber guitar. He calls it the “Twangmeister”. Nik is one of my favorite builders. His work is simply amazing. If you know Nik’s work at all, this is a cross between his Dolphin model and his T-Style model. It looks great and I’m sure it SOUNDS great too!
Subtle Volume Control by Scott Henderson

Subtle Volume Control
Years ago when I first saw Scott Henderson play with Jean Luc Ponty, he twisted his leg on stage turning the gain or volume knob on his MXR distortion pedal. I thought this was a really cool concept. He was “self-mixing” himself on stage. Well, Scott finally collaborated wtih E.W.S. (a division of ProSound Communications) who is now making his volume control concept. Have a look!

Echoplex Booster (EP Booster) by Xotic Effects

EP Booster
Here is a cool concept by Xotic Effects. They have recreated a booster pedal that emulates an old Echoplex. Many guitars used the Echoplex just to color their sound. It’s a very unique “analog” sound. I haven’t heard this little box yet but considering all the great stuff that Xotic puts out, I’m sure it sounds great.
P3 Phantom Power Supply for your Pedal Board

P3 Phantom PSUs
Here is a great concept. Phantom Power supply for your entire pedal board! It’s very innovative really. The only drawback is that you have to modify all your pedals. But, if you are cool with that concept, you can eliminate all your power supplies on your pedal board. There are even some manufacturer’s who are offering this upgrade built into their amplifiers. All power rides on the “stereo cable” (ring) side of your cable. Very nice concept really.
